Shellfish off the Santa Barbara Coast

Cioppino (local mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops and crab served in a bread bowl) from the Santa Barbara Shellfish Company

The in-laws have been here for a week and we decided a little road trip was in order for the weekend.  Saturday morning we headed up the coast largely wrapped in a mist with limited visibility of the ocean.   By lunch we were hungry and L Yelp’d us a little seafood shack on Stearns Wharf (yes, technically out over the water) and the wait was worth it.

L started her two courses with Rock Crab claws.

I’m not sure the in-laws really enjoyed the loud & crowded experience as much as we did, but they were good sports and played along.
