We’re Still In Richmond

Basically…  I’m still finishing my to-do lists… ’09 tax stuff, backing up hard drives, ’09 tax stuff, last minute correspondence, ’09 tax stuff, and oh, we need some new turbo hoses.   In a perfect world we’ll be on the road sometime Tuesday but it could be as late as Wednesday morning.

Good luck you guys! It’s not gonna be the same around here without you. Who’s gonna bring all those truckloads of heavy stuff to a shoot?? 🙂
At least you’re not going to end up in the nuttiest part of CA!
    take care…

Hey Jon. Although we haven’t worked together much since Capital One, I have always looked back on the old days with high regard. Many hours together on sets and shoots leave impressions that are permanent. You were an important part of the early days of my career and I learned a great deal about the biz, but a lot more about life. Enjoy this new adventure. I’m spending 3 weeks out west with my family, in an RV, this upcoming August. Plan to experience Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and everything inbetween. Godspeed my friend!

  3. Guy – Isn’t LA the nuttiest part? Is there someplace crazier… with even more wildfires, more mudslides, more shaking ground, and (hard to imagine…) more taxes??? There must be a lot of great reasons people endure and love the Left Coast and we plan to find them as well!

Ray – I still remember fondly the “good ole days” as well! I remember seeing a couple of those production stills not too long ago and wondered who that guy (that looked somewhat like me) with hair was. We plan to see as much of the west as possible, as soon as possible, so let me know of your August plans as we get closer. Maybe we can meet someplace during your trip!

Jon – I had no idea you were leaving!!! Like many , I bury my head into servicing my clients and have lost touch with some production folks. Your name came up last week when I met a fellow named Robin who worked with you back in the dark ages at TV8! He had many a great stories to tell…. some included you.
I wish you and yours the best of luck in your new adventure! I know that whatever you land in, there will be a well-insulated Pelican/Anvil case to protect.

Hi Jon – Wow! Land-O-La. I lived there for 7 years back in the 90’s and I loved the weather. The best part was, in the winter, I could go skiing and to the beach on the same day! Best of luck on your new adventure!
